Finger Spelling - Sign Language

Here is a video of me spelling my name in sign language. At school we got given a homework task to learn how to spell our name in sign language. After showing the class the teachers setup a private YouTube channel for creating videos like these. We where then told to create a video like this for our blog. Here is the website I used to learn sign language:

Coding Club

Evrey Tuesday me and all the club members go to coding club. Coding is like writing instructions for the computer in a langage it understands. Anyway there are a range or people from a range of levels from people who dont know that coding is to people that have done it for years. I have been coding for almost 2 years. Each session we have a new project to do I competed all of the tasks we have so far. There are many languages used for coding such as scratch and python. In scratch for example if you wanted make something move you would type in "When the Green flag is clicked move 10 steps" We are using a kids coding program called scratch here's the link to it.

Here is a link to one of the projects I have completed if you want to see the code I used to make it click the "See Inside" and look at the colored block with text in them this is the code.

TTS CSI

A couple days ago in Gri11 2.0 I came back from my open mic practise to see all of my classmates staring through the window in horror! I took a closer look and on the window it said "Do Not Enter Until 8:50" I was so confused, the teachers never make us wait outside until class starts. Then I turned my head and saw that Mr R and Miss Gordon approaching us. They got us to line up in two lines one for boys and one for girls. Then we entered the classroom and there where labeled desk's what a  nightmare! We had to do old style school for the whole morning then the teachers burst out in laughter and told us it was all fake. They made us do a CSI (Color, Symbol, Image) about TTS (Traditional Style Teaching) Next they made us do another CSI of the way we currently learn. Tell me in the comments what you would have

Sports Rotations

Here at collage street we do something called sports rotations. This is when each class does 2 small of different sports. (hokey, tennis, badminton, soccer etc.) Because we are a double class instead of all 59 children going to one sport lesson we split the class into girls and boys. We do sports rotations every Tuesday.

My current favorite sport is hockey because its simple, its usually not expensive, its  team sport, you don't need much experience and you don't need many people.

In sports rotation we sometimes have student  coaches witch are students that have been chosen to couch sports that they are good at.

So that's what what we do every Tuesday.

Beach Holiday

Yesterday I came back from camp at Foxton. We did many activities mostly at the beach these activities include, 100 steps, Sand Dunes, Fishing, Fetch, Shell Collecting and The scavenger Hunt. Firstly 100 steps is when you find a clear space on the beach, close your eyes and take 100 steps forward then open your eyes and check how strait you went you might be surprised. Moving on to fishing this was the first time I went fishing at first I was exited but after a while of standing by the water and hoping to get a bite meanwhile knowing that the chances of catching something was low it got a bit boring. Eventually I felt a tug. I pulled hard and tried to reel the fish in but it unfortunately wriggled away. Next I climbed up to giant sand dunes. In case you don't know what sand dunes are they are like hills make entirely out of sand. It was like an avalanche when I started climbing up and when I got to the top  I slid down. It made my clothes a bit sandy but I enjoyed it. Then I played fetch with Lilly. She is Steve's dog and Steve is a friend of my grandparents. Even though I have A dog I have actually never used a stick for fetch this is because my dog is scared of sticks, she's such a wimp. If I ever throw a stick instead of chasing after it she will just run away from it. When Lilly got bored of fetch I started picking up interesting shells for my collection. I found a entirely flat shell and a shell that was the size of my palm. We also set up a scavenger hunt to collect various things on a list then there were prizes for those who completed the list. I finished it so I got 4 dairy milk chocolate bars. So that was how I spent the last weekend of the holidays.
